19 US law firm Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick is using a data management solution fromMicrosoft partner Cohesity. With a variety of legacy infrastructure spread over six locations, Shumaker wanted a single, simpler and more efficient platform for data management. Since deploying Cohesity, it has consolidated three platforms to a single interface for complete data management, reduced Exchange back-up times by 99%, achieved data reduction rates of more than 150x, and realised savings in capital and operating expenditure. Ieso uses Microsoft Azure for 24/7 mental health support Ieso Digital Health is providing people with 24/7 access to mental health care through the Microsoft Azure cloud. The app enables people to take part in one-on-one cognitive behavioural therapy, a form of talking therapy which is used to treat a range of mental health problems. They can interact with qualified therapists via a messaging platform at a time and place that suits them and read transcripts of their online meeting to complete ‘homework’ in between sessions. Law firm deploys Cohesity for data efficiencies Transparity uses PowerApps to improve patient data collection Two of Transparity’s technical consultants Mike Curzey and Andrew Webster are working with the Elizabeth Glaser Paediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) in Uganda to improve the accuracy and efficiency of data collection for AIDS patients in affected countries. They will do this by providing free Power Apps training to the organisation’s in-country teams. Transparity was selected from a shortlist of global Microsoft partners to train EGPAF’s teams so they could use Power Apps and Flow autonomously, avoiding the need for costly IT infrastructure. Barracuda enhances web app security with new platform Barracuda Networks has launched its new Cloud Application Protection platform to improve web application security. It features vulnerability scanning and remediation, bot protection, application programming interface security and a new web application firewall (WAF) solution built on Microsoft Azure. The latter offering provides the granular controls and customisation of Barracuda’s WAF, but with the ease of deployment of Azure.
