Cruise and Ferry Review - Summer/Spring 2020

1 9 2 Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America After the successful inaugural event in 2019 brought together the entire hospitality supply chain for the first time, Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America is returning in September 2020. We preview the upcoming conference and expo in Miami I n 2019, Elite Exhibitions’ Marine Catering Expo united the entire cruise ship hospitality sector at one conference for the first time. The event has been rebranded as Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo (CSH) America for 2020 and will take place in Miami, Florida on 2-3 September. It will build on the success of the inaugural event, engaging key figures from cruise lines, outfitters and hospitality decision makers in two days of networking, making new connections and a world-class conference programme. “CSH is a highly focused business-to- business trade show and conference which brings together suppliers and end users from the hospitality sector working in the cruise industry,” says Ben Perrie, senior exhibition manager at Elite Exhibitions, which organises CSH. “The event has evolved from the Marine Catering Expo which takes place alongside Cruise Ship Interiors Expo in Miami. Due to the feedback given by our esteemed advisory board, we decided to rebrand and rename the event to cover the entire scope of hotel operations in the cruise industry.” This includes the involvement of representatives and exhibitors from the fields of galley and provisioning, housekeeping, laundry and guest experience, all of which work with the hotel operations team onboard cruise ships. Elite Exhibitions will host the first CSH Europe from 2-3 December in London, UK. CFR To register now for CSH America, click here. EVENT PREV IEW It’s our aim to continuously improve and become the premier hospitality event for the cruise industry. CSH America will allow us to attract even more qualified attendees, specifically vendors and industry professionals whose products and services offer a superior hospitality experience for cruise guests. This includes suppliers who provide a range of services and products such as IT technologies, equipment and amenities, food and beverage offerings, entertainment technologies, and activities for both cruise ships and private islands. Mark Zeller, vice president of US hotel operations at MSC Cruises, and advisory board member for CSH America
