Cruise and Ferry Review - Summer/Spring 2020

1 9 9 CS IE HIGHL IGHTS Exhibition spotlights A range of exhibitors from across the world showcased their products and services at the first edition of Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe. We highlight some of those that caught our interest CSIE provided Forbo Flooring Systems with a great platform to showcase its International Maritime Organization-approved floor covering portfolio of Coral Marine FR and Flotex FR. The company communicated the high-definition design possibilities of its unique, flocked textile Flotex FR product, and performed cleaning demonstrations which showed just how easy the product is to clean when compared to other textile floor coverings. Some shipowners, shipyards and outfitters are still unaware of the benefits of applying flame-retardant temporary protection materials to ships during newbuild or refurbishment projects. Temprotech presented a new video animation to CSIE attendees, demonstrating how quickly and easily it can be applied and how effective it can be at keeping areas clean and free from damage. CSIE was the perfect platform for rohi to preview Shake, a new virgin wool fabric collection that is available in 37 colourways. Each of the Shake fabrics comprises three weft colours and has an iridescent lustre to create a special play of colours. The elegant, yet cosy, fabrics can be used on any passenger ships. C&C Sign Makers showcased its new sign design used in the Serena Spa of Regent Seven Seas Cruises’ new luxury cruise ship Seven Seas Splendor at CSIE. The stylish frame is constructed of powder-coated acrylic, with a triangle of wood laminate set back on the corner of the inner. Raised acrylic letters and braille will provide an accessible indication of the room type in this area of the ship. Forbo Flooring Systems Temprotech rohi fabrics C&C Sign Makers
