Growth has largely been driven by New Orleans’ allure as a destination for visitors of all ages, thanks to its world- class restaurants, museums, music and renowned Southern hospitality. The new Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport opened in November 2019 and 16 airlines offer non-stop flights to and from 55 destinations including London, UK; Frankfurt, Germany; and Montreal, Canada. The airport also offers a consolidated checkpoint, which expedites security and baggage processes for guests. New Orleans is also well connected to various other US towns and cities by daily Amtrak train services and six major interstate highways. Both cruise terminals are situated near downtown New Orleans and offer easily accessible parking facilities and luggage assistance.
