4 0 MARKETWATCH Danish Decoration is outfitting a new sushi and teppanyaki restaurant on Royal Caribbean International’s Freedom of the Seas during a dry dock in Cadiz, Spain. The company also upgraded several other public spaces, including the theatre, Studio B and Schooner Bar. On completing the project, the company will work on 11 areas of Royal Caribbean’s Allure of the Seas, which will also dry dock in Cadiz, until May. The marine outfitter is about to complete its first ever newbuild project which, according to Gary Annett, the firm’s CEO, is just the start of things to come. “MJM Marine has shown its capabilities in the newbuild market through a number of smaller contracts which we have completed, so we are delighted to have secured our first major contract this year,” Annett said. “This has already brought in more enquiries from this sector, which is very exciting for us.” MJM Marine has also expanded its customer base with a number of new clients. “We’ve just completed a four-ship contract for Oceania Cruises, and we have also just refurbished Windstar Cruises’ Wind Surf,” Annett explained. “This has brought a new dynamic to our portfolio with a strong blend of long-standing clients such as Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.,” Norwegian Cruise Line and Carnival Corporation. We are building the foundations of long-term partnerships with these clients.” TVV Marine Lighting opens new tester lab TVV Marine Lighting has opened a new tester lab to control the quality of its lighting fixtures during their production. The LightTester 160 system measures the fail/pass results against the electrical safety parameters of the insulation resistance and ground bond. The company will also use a spectral light meter and power meter to ensure that LED light units with failed luminous power, colour temperature, colour rendering or electrical power will not be shipped. The software will also be able to check the dimming functionality of the LED driver system. Tallink Grupp will save five metric tonnes of plastic a year by changing to digital loyalty cards
