MARKETWATCH Port Canaveral chooses seating from Arconas Furniture provider Arconas is to outfit part of Port Canaveral’s new Cruise Terminal 3, which is being dubbed ‘The Launch Pad’ in tribute to the nearby Kennedy Space Center and the port’s historic role in the space industry. The US$163 million terminal complex is the largest single project in the port’s history and will be the homeport for Carnival Cruise Line’s new ship, Mardi Gras, from November 2020. Arconas will manufacture and supply the seating for the VIP and general waiting areas in the new terminal. Arconas’ Bernù Aero seating will be finished with a custom wood colour and upholstered pads in ‘space blue’. The seats will include integrated power modules with AC outlets and USB ports to allow passengers to charge their devices before embarking.
