37 Huxley Golf installs new winter tees at Poult Wood Huxley Golf has installed 27 new all-weather Premier Tee Turf 2 tees at the municipal Poult Wood golf course near Tonbridge, England. Poult Wood’s eighteen- and nine-hole courses are run by the Tonbridge & Malling Leisure Trust. Darren Lanes, head of leisure at Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council, said: “Our vision is simple: ‘more people, more active, more often’, and we’re delivering this through the provision of a wide range of facilities which enable participation in activities that promote physical and mental well-being. Consistency is incredibly important, but this is naturally harder to achieve when it comes to enabling outdoor leisure pursuits, given the vagaries of the British weather. “This is why we have invested in renewing our all-weather tees at Poult Wood golf course. These winter tees have proven to deliver excellent value for money through operational resilience and an uninterrupted year-round revenue stream which we can reinvest.” Image: Golfplan Photo: Huxley Golf Golfplan designs new Vietnam resort course Golfplan’s Dale and Ramsey has been hired to design a golf course at a new resort development located south of Cam Ranh International Airport, Vietnam. The course will be the centrepiece of the Binh Tien Golf and Beach Resort, master planned by SOM and developed by the Binh Tien Tourist and Joint Stock Company. “The north and south ends of the beach have rock formations that lend themselves to a beautiful backdrop for golf,” said Kevin Ramsey of Golfplan. “The west side of the site is natural forested hillside that transitions through the site to the beach. The golf course will be the link between the two. “It will meander through three distinct zones: the first five holes will work their way out to the beach and then transition back into the upper woodland area of the site weaving through mango and cashew trees as well as huge rock outcrops before arriving back at the clubhouse. “The back nine routes through natural forest on the upper holes then into the dunes with large lakes, coco palms and plenty of sand on the way back to the clubhouse providing a dramatic finish to the round.” The Golfplan-designed golf course features three distinct zones TEE BOX
