PURPOSE X Provide a world-class quality halal product from the Makkah-based gelatine plant. X Establish a leading brand in the world of halal food and pharmaceutical gelatine industries. X Meet gelatine product needs first in Saudi Arabia, and then in the Arab region, in the best possible manner and with the highest international quality standards. X Establishing a new national industry: “Made in Saudi Arabia" and "Made in Makkah", as per the Vision 2030. X Recruit Saudi employees to leverage the extensive experience of the company's current staff. X Promote Saudi Arabia's position as regional leader of the halal food and pharmaceutical industries. METHOD X Adopt continuous innovation and development of halal gelatine products with highest quality standards. X Apply good manufacturing practices (GMP Standard). X Promote the values of integrity and responsibility. X Adopt quality and safety standards. X Support strategic partnerships. ACHIEVEMENTS X The only factory of its kind in the entire Gulf region. X Extensive experience of the first generation, ranging between 20 and 25 years, in capsule manufacturing in the region, and its gradual transfer to second-generation citizens. X The only company in the region that possesses state-of-the-art automatic capsule sorting and inspection equipment, which makes manufacturing defects practically non-existent. T he world's industry of gelatine, extracted from pork and used as an ingredient in most basic foodstuffs, children’s sweets and ice cream, is almost exclusive to China, Europe and the West in general As an alternative to this Sharia-prohibited product, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided to use the remains of slaughtered animals during the Hajj season, previously thrown in landfills and polluting the Holy Sites, to produce halal gelatine This would serve Muslim consumers and help preserve the purity of the Holy Sites Saudi Gelatin and Capsules Co. As an alternate to pork-based gelatine, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia decided to use the remains of slaughtered animals during the Hajj season to produce halal gelatine [ 144 ] SDGs
